Press conference: From Geneva to Strasbourg: A march for kurdish identity
Emina Ayna - MP BDP Ismet Kep - President of Konkurd (Confederation of Kurds in Europe) Several hundred Kurds, aged from 18 to 70 years-old, have been walking through Europe calling for a political status for the Kurdish people. Starting from Geneva and heading towards Strasbourg, they have walked between 15 and 30 kms a day in the biting cold denouncing the West's complicity with Turkey, criticising Europe's silence on the massacre of 34 Kurdish civilians on 28 December and urging a peaceful solution to the Kurdish question. They will reach Strasbourg on 18 February to join thousands of people from the whole of Europe for a major demonstration.
